The Scent

Neroli and orange blossom open the first spray bright and almost edible, like candied citrus peel. Within the first ten minutes the salted pistachio climbs up through the flowers, and this is the moment people either lean in or back away. It reads green, nutty, and a little savoury, with a salty edge that keeps the sweetness in check. This stretch carries a toasted, faintly buttery quality not unlike pistachio popcorn. Around the twenty-minute mark the balance tips, and the orange blossom returns as a richer, almost syrupy layer over the nut. The two notes trade places back and forth for a while rather than blending into a single smooth accord, which is part of what makes the scent feel restless and alive. As it settles into the first hour, creamy sandalwood rises from the base and rounds everything into a milky, warm finish.
